Classes

Kali Tal is based in Bern, Switzerland and offers individual and small group classes, taught in private homes. Classes are tailored to your needs and interests. Courses can include any or all of the following:

  • Cooking techniques
  • Improvisation in the kitchen
  • Use of herbs and spices in ethnic and national cuisines
  • Recipe development
  • Preparing for and hosting dinner parties
  • Shopping for ingredients and equipment

If you have special interests or needs, feel free to contact me. Courses include prepared written material. Optional course add-ons include:

  • Writing your family cookbook (including printing and binding of the book)
  • Grinding and storing your own spice mixtures
  • Developing a “core set” of a dozen recipes for everyday cooking
  • Preparing special dishes for special occasions
  • Setting up a food weblog

Prices depend on the number of participants and the length and complexity of course. They start at 100 EUR for a 4-hour private lesson tailored to your interests. Maximum number of participants is usually 6, but a class can be larger if you have a very big kitchen. Group classes are less costly per person than individual classes, so get together with some friends and learn new things about cooking!
