Thanks for catching that, Amy. I updated my Recipe Press plug-in, and it changed the links on my recipes, but not on the pages leading to them. It's a cool plug-in but it still has some issues to be ironed out -- for instance, only 5 recipes show up on the page that's supposed to list all the recipes. Technology never keeps up with our desires...

I don't know if you can use NuStevia. I am also insulin resistant, which I cope with by cutting way back on the carbs and by exercising and keeping my weight down. My understanding is that sweeteners are almost as bad as sugar in terms of stimulating insulin production. Here's a good article on artificial sweeteners & diabetes. My personal strategy is to count calories and carbs, and to make sure that when I indulge in a sweet treat, it's made with cane or beet sugar, molasses or honey, and to make sure I don't eat too much of it, or indulge myself too often.

Hi, for some reason the links to the food are not working. :( I don't know if it's just me but the link for the griddle cakes doesn't work for me too. :( Just thought I'd let you know.

Cheers,
Amy

I'm a 50-something guy who hasn't spent a dime at Hardees since the first of many sexist commercials for the DickBurger aired several years ago. I used to eat Hardees biscuits for breakfast at least once a week and frequently brought my family in for burgers and fries. But never again. So this offensive ad campaign has cost the company thousands of dollars from this ex customer alone. I issue arrest warrants for incidents of domestic violence, so I see the damage caused by macho attitudes toward women. Every mother should tell their sons why these commercials are offensive and why she will never take them to Hardees.

Prices in the u.S. are not as bad as in Europe, but everything has gone up in price while the average person is making the same or less than they were a couple of years ago. On certain things, like clothing for my daughter, I can go to Target and spend much less. But when it comes to feeding my family, I finally broke down and started shopping at Costco. I want to keep the neighborhood grocery stores in business but they just can't compete in price.

As a health nut, it was extremely humbling to learn I inherited hypertension. So I'm now looking for other ways to eat well - without the sodium and much more potassium. Your recipe looks DELICIOUS and I'm certain it will turn out very well. Thank you.
